ABC-TV network promos for the 1965-66 season. Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The FBI (black & white ads with "in color" tags), Twelve O'Clock High, and two short-lived flops: The Legend of Jessie James and A Man Called Shenandoah (a high-concept western about a man with amnesia). Plus another FBI spot and product ads for Breck. Last, two unusual promos with "Honey West" stars Anne Francis and John Ericson. A lost interview from 1967 conducted by KGW-TV, a news station in Portland, Oregon. This was rediscovered in 2010 in their film archives. Nimoy talks at length about playing Mr. Spock on "Star Trek", then in its second season. Unfortunately, he does not shed any light on what compelled him to record "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins". Classic commercials for products/brands which are still around. This is an internet archive edit of a YouTube series I've been doing. I hope it is considered entertaining. I admit this belongs in the commercials section, but I upload it to the classic TV section so it'll reach a larger audience. I readily admit most of these ads come from Shokus DVDs. An episode of "About Faces", an early 1960s game show. Tom Kennedy hosts this episode. Format is includes some aspects of 1950s series "Place the Face". Margaret O'Brien is the celebrity guest. While this episode is probably public domain, please note that it includes brief footage from two still-copyrighted series. Also, please note that, as this is a daytime series, it featured more advertising than a prime-time series of the same era, and also note that the final... The seventh edition of this series highlighting the variety of public domain television content on the Internet Archive. Includes clips from various shows, plus many classic ads. A 1968 episode of game show "Dream House". Complete with original commercials (since this is a daytime show, it features more ads than a prime-time show, but the ads are rather fun). Most episodes of this series are presumed lost, and oddly enough the 1980s revival is also largely lost. This show was controversial as many of the homes won in the show were not built. Still, an enjoyable bit of fluff. I think the copyright notice is invalid...am I correct? favoritefavoritefavoritefavorite ( 2 reviews ) Topics: Classic TV, Television, 1960s, Daytime television, Game show

An episode of the short-lived US game show "Camouflage". Format isn't very strong. Johnny Gilbert is substitute guest host of this episode. Re-upload with improved picture quality. Soap opera aired in a 15-minute time-slot on CBS (a search of newspapers shows it aired from 4:15PM to 4:30PM). Contains two fun promos and a beautifully dated PSA. This episode is rather well-done when you consider these early soap episodes were done "in one go". The people on IMDb really hate this show for some reason, but it doesn't seem so bad to me. favoritefavoritefavoritefavoritefavorite ( 2 reviews ) Topics: Classic TV, Television, Soap opera, 1960, 1960s, Drama
A visit to a hospital. This is an episode of a 5-minute TV series from the late-1960s. (I uploaded an episode of "Funny You Should Ask" which was followed by this episode of "The Children's Doctor". So if you've already watched "Funny You Should Ask", don't bother with this upload, as it is the same episode). I'm sure everyone will hate this, and the picture quality is poor. A 1964 episode of the popular Australian crime drama series. The country has 50-year copyright terms for TV broadcasts. This is incorrectly listed as the first successful Australian drama TV series, although there had been a handful of successful mini-series on ABC prior to this (also, soaps "Autumn Affair" and "The Story of Peter Grey", both intended to run a year, were reasonably well-received). An episode of "Password", a popular game show produced by Goodson-Todman, and hosted by Allen Ludden. This is the daytime version, for which most of the episodes are lost (the prime-time version has a much better survival rate). Warning: despite the lack of copyright notice, I imagine this REALLY cannot be uploaded to YouTube nor used in projects. After all, it features Diana Ross, The Jackson 5 and other big names. Probably 1968? This is an episode of a silly 1960s game show where female contestants try to find the man of their dreams by asking three men a series of questions. Mindless fluff, but at least it is better than "Blind Date". As an added bonus there is the original commercials, one of which features Betty White! More product ads from sponsors of the 1965-1966 season of ABC's "Honey West" series. These are: Sucrets, Carnation Instant Breakfast, Coffee-Mate creamer, Cover Girl, Sylvania flash cubes, and cigarette ads for Pall Mall and Tareyton.
